Pregnant Pictures (33 Weeks)

My mom took a lot of pictures of me when we were in DC a few weeks ago. Whenever I go on vacation with just two people I end up with a lot of pictures with one person standing in front of something. Anyway, when looking at these pictures I noticed that I really look pregnant! So, here is what I looked like at 33 weeks.

Doctor Troubles...

I went for my bi-weekly doctors appointment today and everything is progressing wonderfully. However, I was informed that my doctor's contract is not being renewed and therefore he will not be working at the office as of today. He said it was because he was not being "productive enough." I'm not sure what that means... I will be switched over to one of the other doctors in the office and therefore nothing will change as far as insurance, payment, methods, etc. However, I'm a little concerned as to why this sudden change is occuring. Was I getting good treatment all along? Is the baby progressing like he should? I have no reason to be concerned... I'm gaining weight as I should, I feel him move all the time, and his heart rate is completely normal. But, it still makes me wonder... Are they not renewing Dr. Papageorge's contract because of incompetency, lack of attention to details, or something else that could affect our care??? I did a google search and found nothing. Hey, maybe this is a good thing, maybe it was not going to be best for my baby to be delivered by him... although I hadn't heard any complaints about him over the past 8 months. Oh well... enough contemplating the "why" of the situation... God is in control (Thankfully!)!

Trip to Annapolis/DC

Baby Lutz and I headed to Annapolis and DC last weekend for a little get away. Although everything went perfectly, I wouldn't suggest traveling at 33 weeks because I worried about going into labor a lot and couldn't sleep. Also, DC is not a great vacation spot for someone who is trying to "take it easy." But, we had a great time in spite of all that!

My college roommate Heather got married in Annapolis on Friday, June 6. So, Amy (our other college roommate) and I went out to celebrate with her. We helped set up the reception and participated in all the weekend festivities (which included a Scrubs marathon :)). It was so good to catch up with Amy again. I only wish we could have spent more time with Heather, but that's how weddings are... you don't really get to see the bride much.

Then, since I was already out there, my mom met me for the rest of the weekend to visit DC (Saturday through Monday). We tried to find activities that would not require a lot of walking around in the very hot weather, but those were hard to find. We took a boat tour, ate some good food, toured the art museum, and walked to several of the monuments/white house/etc. I think mom and I both agree that one of our favorite activities was sitting with our feet in the water at a fountain in the sculpture garden and feeding the ducks frosted flakes. It was quite relaxing. My mom also got me a massage, which was wonderful!
