Pinterest Project Success

A pan of baking soda, food colored vinegar, and medicine droppers = very entertained preschoolers.

I am so glad we did this outside.

When the skin started turning green, we decided it was best to take shirts off.

More Baseball

I got around to taking the good camera to baseball a few weeks ago. I am loving baseball season. We all enjoy watching Sam play…well, Emma really enjoys playing with another little sister who she loves, but at least she loves going to all the games. Samuel really has improved too… he is not nearly as afraid to catch the ball as he was at first, although he still shies away from it and he has started to make contact with the ball frequently from coach pitches without using the tee. (The rule is they get five pitches from the coach, and then can attempt to hit it off the tee with three swings.)  He loves to play and is usually playing in the backyard even after having multiple games each week.
Such good form… step and throw.

Never looking at the ball… :)

 Samuel's fan club…
"Baseball ready" well not quite, but at least he's paying attention to the game (more than I ever did as a kid :))…
He chased it down in the outfield and threw it in during this game… so excited to see some outfield action!

Backyard Swimming

What could be better than a cheap plastic pool, on a hot spring day?!
Jumping in…
Eyes in the back of their heads…
They insisted on getting pool noodles, which I didn't think would be much fun in a tiny pool. I was wrong…

 Pure joy…

Big Brother/Big Sister Photo Session

Here are some of the extras from our photo session the other day. It is so difficult to photograph a two year old! She was sweet and funny, but just wasn't cooperating with the picture taking this day. I think some of the results show her personality quite well. Samuel was just excited about the promise to play football after we got at least 15 pictures…

Isn't he so handsome?!

This one is my absolute favorite! I will have this framed somewhere in my house sometime soon…
 Two, going on 13…
Emma loves to have her hands in her pockets…
I love how Emma wants to see the picture. She loves to look at babies, even in ultrasound pictures…
We took a quick break for some wrestling in the middle…

Moving on to zone defense

We are losing our man-to-man coverage when Baby Lutz #3 joins us this fall. We are all very excited about this blessing and can't wait to meet him/her.

Samuel has been praying for, "the new baby in our life" that it would "listen to what we tell it to do and have good manners." He has many thoughts about what we can do when the baby gets here.

Emma LOVES babys and is so excited to have one of her own. She can spot a baby across the room and always wants to hold it and pat its feet and smile at it. She is going to be a great "helper."

I am due on September 28, although I'm not expecting to meet this little one until October (I'd rather be pleasantly surprised if baby arrives on time, then disappointed when the due date passes with no activity). For my own records… At 20 weeks, I am feeling pretty good. I never felt miserable, but I didn't feel well for the first 14 or 15 weeks (we ate lots of take out and frozen dinners :)). Around 17 weeks I started to feel tiny baby kicks and at 19 weeks Bud got to feel it for the first time. Samuel says he felt it one time too, although I really don't think he's sat still long enough to feel anything real.

We are so excited about this new adventure!
