Aunt Alyssa's Visit

Aunt Alyssa came out for a whole week in the beginning of September (I told you I was way behind on my blogging :)). We had a great time hanging out with her before she leaves for Kenya for two years (November 1). We went to the Library, to the park, shopping, and on several long walks/runs. She also babysat A LOT! Benton County Fair

I'm so behind on my blogging! I will try to catch up this week with posts and pics from Aunt Alyssa's visit, Gigi and Grandaddy's visit, and the first trip to the pumpkin patch!

But, for now...

We went to the Benton County Fair last weekend. We looked at/pet all the animals, watched the cow costume contest, checked out the art exhibits, and of course got fair quality corn dogs. Sam really enjoyed petting the big animals. His petting looks more like hitting, but the animals didn't mind.

Walking!!!!!!

Look out! Samuel's on the move!! He took his "first steps" this past weekend and has been going to town ever since! Crawling is still his primary mode of transportation, but he enjoys practicing his new skill by walking back and forth between mommy and daddy. I would have posted this sooner, but I've been trying to get a good video to go along with it...

Wedding Weekend

We went to Dallas over the holiday weekend for my sister-in-law's wedding. I failed to take many pictures over the weekend, but cameras were out a lot so I will hopefully be getting more soon. Sam was a good sport being lugged all around Dallas for the festivities! He also was a GREAT traveler. In fact, I think he missed the car a little because this morning he was really fussy until we got in the car to go get Clara. Ever since then, he's been very happy. :) Here are the pictures I did get...

One Year Pictures

I went to Picture People again for Samuel's one year old pictures, but I wasn't too impressed with what I got. So I decided to take some on my own. Here are some of the good ones.

A Drum Set

I bought this drum set for Samuel at a garage sale last weekend. It was worth the $2 I spent on it! He's such a natural musician :).
