I finally broke down and bought the camera lens I've had my eye on for a couple years now. I'm still figuring it out, but I think I like it. It's the 50mm f/1.8 for those who are interested. This lens is great for close ups and when you want to focus on a small area and add more blur to the background. The fixed lens aspect takes some getting used to, but overall it has been a good purchase. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm excited to experiment more with it.

Easter and Grandma's Visit
Grandma got to come spend Easter with us. Samuel and Emma loved having her around to play many games, read many books, and hang out with. As the kids get older, it is so fun to experience Easter through their eyes. Samuel really understood this year and was so excited on Sunday to know that "He is risen!" Emma was excited to show off her Easter dress and find Easter eggs. :) She has been learning and better understanding the Gospel a lot lately, especially over the last few months. It's so exciting to see!

First Day of Spring Party
My mom planned a party for the first day of spring. Thankfully it was a beautiful day, before the snow that we had the following week. So we headed to Cheekwood to enjoy the outdoors. Mom planned snacks, crafts, story time, etc. and the kids loved it. Thanks mama.
We started off with crafts in their craft room…

Snacks… dirt cups (pudding, oreos, and gummy worms).
Samuel spent most of the morning playing in the water…
I love this picture… Pure joy on everyone's face.
