Nursery

The nursery furniture came in last week, so we have everything set up now. We still have some decorating to do... hanging wall art, moving old dressers/shelves out, hanging curtains etc. But, here are some pictures of the furniture in the painted room.

Here is another project I was working on. I bought this little table and chairs from a garage sale for $8 and then painted them. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the set now, but I couldn't pass it up :)

Baby Lutz's Activities...

Baby Lutz has been quite busy the past few weeks. He took his first camping trip two weeks ago. I don't suggest camping when you are 28 weeks pregnant. We had a lot of fun, but there was no sleeping had... At least not for me :) Below is a picture of the fire I started while everyone else was still sleeping. I was so proud of myself!

He celebrated the Cinco de Mayo with a pinata and lots of candy.

He celebrated Aunt Lauren graduating from Wheaton College. He was kind enough to let everyone feel and see him move around!

Also, he got to go on an overnight field trip with 52 fifth graders where mommy carried him along on several long hikes and explored the sounds of nature. It actually wasn't too bad. I didn't sleep very well, but the hikes were no problem. We were out "hiking" for four hours on Thursday and three hours on Friday, but I think we only hiked like 3 or 4 miles total because we kept stopping to listen and look at nature.

Pregnancy Pics

I have finally taken some more pregnancy pictures...

Here I am at 28 weeks...

And, here I am at 29 weeks...

I'm back!!

I didn't mean for so much time to pass between blog posts. But, life got busy. We've had a lot going on lately. We spent some time in Chicago last weekend for my little sister's graduation from Wheaton!! Congratulations Lauren!! Last weekend was spent camping... not that comfortable when your pregnant. But, still fun. We also celebrated Cinco De Mayo with a pinata at the Penturf's home and cheered on the fifth graders of Lee Elementary School at the Little Olympics. I'll post pictures later.

Yardwork Day...

Today we did some work on our yard. It was absolutely gorgeous! Sunny, not humid, about 75 degrees... perfect!! We laid new mulch, planted some annuals and created made some potted plant arrangements. Here's the finished product...

The planted plants...

This is my hydrangea I planted last year. I know nothing about gardening... Am I supposed to trim off those old sticks?
