It was incredibly hard to leave our great friends and church in Philly, especially pulling Samuel and Emma away from their friends. Emma asks about "Mimmy" (Simeon) multiple, like 40, times every day. Samuel likes to pretend to be his Pennsylvania friends and continue the silliness they enjoyed when together. Thankfully, there are many ways to continue friendships through face time and phone calls even before they can be "pen pals." God has blessed us with so many great life-long friends in each of our homes, and we know He will provide for us here as well!
The kids had a blast with the packing and unpacking. I had to take a break from the boxes one day to capture some pictures of their antics.
One more playtime in the backyard…

And, climbing in empty cabinets and closets…

Such a dear post, Les. Transitions bring many mixed emotions, even for little Emma. It's such an extravagant blessing to have y'all in Nashville.
Yay, so glad to read this post. Good job at putting into words the paradox of moving - so glad you are settling in hopefully for a while now! Love the pics of the kids in the boxes - always a fun part of moving for us. Hope you saved some of those boxes!
