We are now one of those families that is at the pool almost every other day during the summer months. Now that the kids are older and more independent in the water (at least with water wings), going to the pool is not quite the ordeal or stress it used to be. So, we've been going a lot.
They like getting "covers on" during break time…
We've explored three different Y pools, three different spray grounds, and made good use of the baby pool in the back yard. This pregnant lady is not spending much time outside without water close by to cool us off. :)Samuel took swim lessons. He's floating unassisted for 10 seconds here. There is still a lot of work to be done, but he got a lot more comfortable in the water. He can swim, and does in 2 foot deep water, but needs to overcome some fears in deeper water.
Break time = snack time…
Emma likes to cover up during break time.
With all the time at the pool, Samuel has taken up playing lifeguard (and convinced sister to play along). This involves setting up his chairs on the coffee table and blowing his whistle every few minutes, yelling "walk."And, you are not allowed to talk to him, because we can't talk to the lifeguards.
