- He talks a lot... Often just babbling unintelligibly, but he often throws in a recognizable word here or there. Or, he labels something and continues to label it until someone acknowledges what he's saying.
- He's created his own language. He continues to make up words that sound nothing like the real word. For Example: "Gee" = blanket, "Lolo" = water, "Guguck" = Trash Truck (or any big truck), "Die Die" = butterfly, "Gaga" = dog, "Dodo" = G'daddy, and many more I can't think of right now.
- He recognizes letters everywhere. We will be driving down the road and he'll yell out "s" or "d" when he sees a sign with these letters. He recognizes the letters in his name along with "d."
- He runs everywhere. I chased him around the entire outer circle of Best Buy this morning and then he went around again with Papa.
- He climbs on anything. He spent a good 20 minutes the other day climbing on and off the ottoman over and over again.
- He had his second bout of scary sickness. He's been sick other times, but only twice in his life has it been really scary. Last January he had RSV and a couple weeks ago he had Croup. I had heard of croup before, but didn't realize how terrifying it was for him and me. He woke up coughing, then couldn't breath, then would scream cause he was scared, and the cycle continued all night long. We debated going to the ER several times, but then his breathing would calm down and he'd fall asleep again. So, we made it to the dr. first thing the next morning, got on some steroids, and has been fine ever since. He was completely pathetic for about 12 hours, coughing and horse for about another 24 hours, and then back to his old self. He sure bounced back fast!!
This is where he decided to fall asleep when he was sick...
