After a few days of travel and three days of skiing, we left the snow for a day trip to Annecy (Pronounced an'si). We traveled by cab, train, and bus to get there (with a stop at Alyssa's home in Albertville to drop off some of our bags and spend one night) and enjoyed beautiful scenery along the way. The kids did incredibly well the entire time we were in France with new places, lots of travel, living out of suitcases, and several long meals at nice restaurants.
Annecy was a cute little town, situated on a lake with huge mountains all around it and a canal running through the middle of it. Some of the buildings date back to the 1100s, most notably the old prison in the middle of the canal and the castle that now houses an art museum.
9 people and no less than 17 bags headed out from the mountains… this is waiting at the train station.
Anything to entertain the little princesses at the Gare (bus/train station)…On the train…
On the bus…
You are welcome Lauren…
