Hiking close to home

Bud took a day off a few weeks ago after being out of town all week. So we took advantage of the time together and went for a hike. As soon as we mentioned hiking, the kids were ready to go. We decided to stay close and went to a place about 6 miles away... it was incredible! The kids did well. Samuel learned how to "go pee pee on a tree," which he loved and Emma actually didn't fight being contained as long as she had snacks. 

 She fell asleep in the car and we actually successfully transferred to the Ergo!

 We have had gorgeous weather lately, so we went to the park that evening at sunset. Gorgeous sunset!

 And, to a different playground the next day... So fun to have Papa around. It's getting difficult to take both kids to the park without help as they tend to want to run in opposite directions... and they can run pretty fast. :)
